For years, I worked in Long Beach. For years, I would frequent the Long Beach location. Lots of memories and unforgettable meals. Now it's time to start over, this time closer to home (and work). I've never had a problem finding parking on Beverly. Yes, you deal with meters, however, enforcement isn't 24/7. Read the signs though. I believe it ends at 8PM. And feeding the meter is cheaper than a ticket. It's life in LA. Just deal with it. My friend and I walked in without reservations. On a Friday night too. However, we got there early enough that we got to sit at the bar, then had the choice of sitting inside or out and any open table. Had we gotten there later, it's likely we would have had to wait or go elsewhere. It got busy and I didn't see an empty table or seat at the bar when we finished up. Service was great. Not remembering his name but he was our guy in addition to tending the bar. I know he was busy but somehow he would just appear right we we needed or wanted something. Also makes means drinks. As for the food, see pics. We were mainly there for drinks and appetizers and I wish the lighting was better because the pics don't do the dishes any justice. We filled up on too much Pita with the starter Mezza Sampler and ended up just sharing The Sultan and a Baklawa Crumble. Just know, there were no leftovers. Sorry, no pics of the Sultan - we dived right in and I forgot. Anyway, I'm glad I finally made it here and know it won't be my last.

It transports you to a different world! You forget you are off Beverly and Fairfax! Reasonably priced and good portions. The drinks were so good and creative! Easy to find street parking, good service, outdoor, street seating and indoor seating. This has become one of our favorite Mediterranean places.

Unique drinks. Delicious food. Portions are BIG so you've been warned. We got a bunch of appetizers and the combo to share and everything was really tasty. Our server was also very attentive and patient in explaining the menu since it was our first time. We had a great time! My favorites were the halloumi (the pairing with watermelon worked so well), the cauliflower and the combo (chicken, beef). Will return again!

Cozy restaurant located in Fairfax area. It was my first time trying authentic Lebanese food, and I must say it was so impressive! Meat was so tender, shrimp was juicy, and their hummus was one of the best I've ever tried. The only complain I had - there was like 3 flies bothering us while eating. I complained to owner, he apologized and tried to catch them, unfortunately it didn't work out. I wish they have a equipment to catch flies during summer.

Arayes 10/10 - good enough for two people - Full of flavor, beef and lamb was seasoned well - freshly made pita The Sultan 9/10 - meat was cooked tenderly - wanted medium rare but got medium well Yogurt Dip 10/10 - creamy and adds great flavor to the food Luckily when I went there was not a long wait time and we got seated fairly quickly. The waitress was very friendly, patient and was willing to explain food items to us. She was very attentive to our table regardless of the restaurant being a full house. Waiting for the food did not last long, we had our appetizer and immediately after that our plate came out. We shared the appetizer and plate with a side of a lamb skewer which was enough for two people. Enjoyed the city vibe by sitting outside and seeing how lively the block was.

This place was a thorough delight after being under the hot sun. Just a 3 minute drive and 15 minute walk away from the melrose trading post, you will stumble upon a delicious and authentic Mediterranean joint! It is family owned and I cannot rave about this place enough! We had the pleasure of being served by Tsige, who was well versed in the house faborites and popular items! She reccomened the fried cauliflower and, oh my god, we CANNOT reccomend it enough! Everything tasted fresh! Me and my friend opted to do a la carte for most items to as much of the menu as possible! Highly reccomend the Tahini sauce, falafel, chicken tawook, and lamb chops! It can get a bit pricy, but the food is sooo worth it! Just to note, street parking only, we were lucky to find one pretty close on a Sunday evening! We sat outside on the patio under the fans, and even on a hot day, it felt pretty breezy towards the end! All in all! Highly reccomend this place! Very good! Staff was friendly, place is clean and food is delicious! Thank you!!

Open Sesame offers an enchanting dining experience with its beautiful artwork and ambiance. Sitting in their outdoor area felt like being transported to Morocco, adding a magical touch to the evening. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. For dinner, we started with the spicy garlic potatoes, which were divine. I also ordered the chicken shish tawook, which came with two sides. I opted for the vermicelli rice, which was amazing. The portions were generous, and I was stuffed, having to take leftovers home.

Open sesame is the best place for Lebanese Mediterranean food. Service is always superior. Ambiance is casual and nice, always clean. Open Sesame has something on the menu for everyone one, so give this place a try. Open Sesame remains on our regular list for dining.

Food 4/5: meat was a bit too chewy for me, but hummus 5/5; Bread 5/5; ingredient freshness 5/5. The vegan meatball was a bit too hard to chew but tasted really flavorful. Service 5/5, very friendly. Ambiance is good for hangouts or dates, especially out in balcony. Def recommending.

Exceptional food here! Such great flavors, we couldn't get enough! Called to make a reservation and they happily obliged. We got sat right away inside of the nicely decorated dining room. Service was courteous. However since our waiter was also the bartender, service was a bit slow sometimes. We tried the Halloumi cheese which is good combo of sweet and salty but left me with more to be desired. We then got 2 plates, the combo and the Chicken Tawpook. Our dishes were soooo good! Strong but not overwhelming flavors. Tender meats. Creamy hummus. Warm pitas. Just fantastic. We ended with the Labne Cheesecake. Never had anything like this. Very decadent, rich flavors. Creamy cheesecake. A must try! Overall we loved this place and will definitely be returning.
